Thanks to the hard work and organization of the CHIRS Diversity Committee, the club space was transformed into a cool and musical extravaganza for an afternoon. The "Pan Man on Duty" along with "Marlon Woods the Percussionist" performed for us. They played the steel pan; Steel pans (steel drums) were created in Trinidad in the 1930s but can be traced back to the enslaved Africans who were brought to the islands during the 1700s. Clients and staff all enjoyed this music; catch them grooving along to the melodic sound below.
