In mid-October, the Art Group from CHIRS went on an excursion to the Art Gallery of Ontario.
We explored many Impressionist paintings by Claude Monet.
It was an invigorating day!
CHIRS goes to elora
On our last outing of the summer, a group of adventurers went to Elora! First, they visited the Wellington Country Museum and then went to the Elora Gorge Lookout. Downtown Elora included a delicious ice cream before heading home. Big thanks to Munir and Dave for organizing our summer excursions!
A Peach Fest Party
CHIRS headed to Niagara-on-the-Lake to visit the world's smallest church, see some beautiful scenery, and most importantly, attend Peach Fest!
Here's what one attendee had to say about the experience, "The Peach Festival this year did not disappoint! I tried a flaky peach dessert which was delectable, while I made sure to buy a basket full of peaches. Mmmm! They were so sweet and perfect to eat either straight away or reserve for a homemade dessert!" - Rose W

Hamilton!

CHIRS takes on Hamilton! On our most recent outing we ventured to Webster Falls, Sam Lawrence Park and the world’s very first Tim Horton's. After taking in the mist at Webster falls, we all enjoyed our sandwiches with a view. But, the view didn’t stop there, next, we went to Sam Lawrence Park for unforgettable views of the Hamilton skyline. Some say if you squint really hard it looks like Rome. After taking in the views, we deserved a snack, so we made our way to Tim’s. Not just any Tim’s, the worlds first Tim’s. We got to learn all about how the iconic brand Tim Horton's came to be and enjoy some coffee and timbits. Overall, a wonderful trip to the beautiful city of Hamilton.
