From Monday March 16 – Friday March 20, CHIRS staff and clients embraced the spirit of gratitude, connection, and good fortune as they celebrated Lucky Week! This was a fun-filled week that encouraged everyone to pause and reflect on everyday moments in life, big or small, that make us feel lucky and grounded.
Our Club at Head Office was transformed with bright and festive décor, including shamrock and rainbow paper chains created by clients. To further spark reflection, clients and staff engaged in a variety of different activities in the club such as a Gratitude Garden, Clover Connections Wall, Lucky Object Show & Tell, Pot of Gold Contest, and a “Guess How Many” Chocolate Jar Competition.
🌱 Gratitude Garden - A beautiful “garden” display on the wall consisting of what CHIRS members feel lucky about, reminding us all of the meaningful moments and people in our lives.
🍀 Clover Connections Wall – A large, collaborative clover-shaped mural created by CHIRS members who reflected on their personal experiences in life such as their biggest accomplishments and the relationships they’re grateful for.
✨ Lucky Object Show & Tell – A showcase of clients’ special “lucky” items and reveal of the story behind it. Whether tied to culture, memory, or personal meaning, each object sparked conversation and connection with prizes awarded. Shoutout to Lorraine for sharing her love of the Blue Jays with a beautiful homemade portrait and to Domenico for showcasing his lifelong passion for hockey through a cherished childhood team photo!
🏆 Pot of Gold Daily Contest Every afternoon, two names were drawn from those present in the Club, adding a fun moment of anticipation to each day. Winners received prizes—just a little extra luck to brighten the week. Congratulations to our winners, Scott, Robin, Mythilly, Reuben, Nam and Michael!
🍫 “Guess How Many” Chocolate Jar Competition Participants submitted their best estimate of how many chocolates were in the jar, earning a chocolate treat just for taking part. At the end of the week, the closest guess won a prize (and bragging rights). Congratulations to Andre W!
