New Monthly Zoom Program

CHIRS Space doctors Ken L. and David S. have come together to present a brand new monthly program for all our viewing pleasures. The program is called "Space is Awesome" and takes place on Zoom every third Thursday of the month from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. In January, the space doctors covered the topic of "a history of what we see when we look up at the stars".

This brings us to the subject of the brand new telescope called the "James Webb Telescope". It is an orbiting spacecraft designed to observe some of the oldest and most distant objects and events in the universe. NASA led the development of the telescope and collaborated with the ESA (European Space Agency), and CSA (Canadian Space Agency).

The telescope was launched on December 25th, 2021.
