Paint Nite: CHIRS Edition

The first special event of July was Paint Nite at Head Office and it was a hit! CHIRS members eagerly came together to paint a sunset silhouette of a cactus. The group patiently took on the challenge of the painting their masterpiece step by step with instructions given by Persez. Even with the pressures of a time limit to complete the painting, the group worked side by side in supporting each other in creating their paintings. They learned how to blend blue, purple, pink, orange, and yellow to make a seamless sky for the sunset. While all the paintings look similar at a glance, they are each uniquely different in the details. Some made shooting starts, others made more cacti; while each artist put their own spin on it, there’s no denying how well it turned out. Initially, the whole group was worried that they would not be able to paint such a complicated painting, but they persevered and the results were well worth the effort. They spent the evening learning how to paint together while sharing lots of laughs.

We had arranged for every artist to have a palate, paint, brushes, canvas, and reference picture. Paint Nite was just one of the many special events that team ADS ran weekly through the summer.
