The 2nd Annual Rooftop Fundraiser kicked off this year at the end of October. Headed by Rachelle G. and Denise B., the fundraiser aims to raise funds for seeds, plants, soil, tools, and equipment to support the CHIRS Rooftop garden. In the future, the team looks to install new shades for certain areas as well as some more outdoor furniture.
This year, traditional poinsettias, as well as cyclamen in various colors, were added to this list of plants that you could purchase. The fundraiser was a success: 175 plants were sold for a grand total of $792 raised! We hope to continue this great initiative every year. A great big thank you to all that have participated.
