The Kensingtons perform!

On Sunday, June 7, our CHIRS band, The Kensingtons, performed at the Taste of North York festival that was held at Mel Lastman Square.

In recognition of Brain Injury Awareness Month, we were invited to perform several original songs written by members of our community. These songs reflected some of their personal experiences and journeys living with a brain injury.

I want to take a second to recognize all of the members of the band who performed the songs:

 A big thank you to Rose, Shannon, Ben, Don, Simon, James O, Jan and Kim who did such a great job performing the songs on the stage.

 Also, I want to recognize the members of our community who helped to write the songs;

 Rob A, Mike V, Shannon Y, Evi K, Andrey B, Gail C, Keith M, Tom L, Michael S, Danny S, Reuben, Hamid N, Kevin S, Shayna B, Brett R, Neil D.

 It was an amazing and meaningful performance.
