It will take some time before we can get back to regular programming and reopen the doors to the CHIRS Club, but things are happening! A big shout out to Peter who has been helping us to get the Club in shape.
Peter is the Mentor we go to when we have handyman tasks. He’s always willing to help out, screwdriver at the ready. We’re grateful because there’s so much to do! Peter has already put together a new microwave stand and two new round tables. Yesterday, he assembled a whole set of Plexiglass barriers. We’ll use the barriers to offer an extra layer of protection between people, especially if we need a mask break.
In addition to Peter, we want to thank the Resilient Communities Fund of the Ontario Trillium Foundation. With their funding, we have purchased equipment including Plexiglass barriers that will help us ensure that we can offer programs in the safest way possible when we reopen.
