Holiday Fun at CHIRS

Here at the CHIRS head office, we rang in the holidays the right way – with food, scavenger hunts, a party, and even more food!
During our holiday programming, we hosted lots of holiday-themed activities.
Leading up to Christmas, we had a holiday-themed scavenger hunt where Shawn and Jen were crowned champions in both the snowman building contest and the ‘Re-write the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge’ featuring a heavy fishing theme!
We also hosted a cook and eat together program where clients and staff worked together to create a delicious brunch, which we then all ate and enjoyed together! Our menu featured fruit salad, egg bake, French toast, and hashbrowns. A big thank you to our lead chefs, Yvonne and Munir, who led their sous-chefs to success!
Post-Christmas, we hosted a New Year’s Eve party, ringing in the New Year with Morocco this year! We featured a Moroccan themed menu with Moroccan chicken/tofu and lemon-dressed salad, served with naan bread. Dave led the group in an interactive game called “Moon goes to Morocco” where we tried to guess which option Munir would choose. We learned lots about Morocco during this game, and even drank their signature drink, mint tea! We rang in the New Year with Morocco at 7pm and celebrated going into another year with our awesome community!
