Meet Brett R

You may have met Brett R while playing against him in a CHIRS Zoom game such as Family Feud, or written alongside him at Spill the T. Nowadays if you want to see Brett, you will need to meet him on a trail while he is clocking up kilometers on his bike: his goal this year is 1000 km! When asked about his first time on his recumbent trike, he shared, “I still remember the first ride. It was a nice sunny day with my kids, it was just around our neighbourhood but just to be out doing something with them, it was like a new lease on life, a revelation that my life could still be fun and I could still be doing something I love doing with people I love.” This summer, Brett plans to bike with his son in Vancouver. We asked Brett to share 3 unique characteristics about himself; “My warped sense of humour, my adventurous spirit and my pig-headed persistence. People see stubborn as a negative but holy smokes, it pays off.”
