Blue Jays Game
10/10
Good:
It was a very entertaining game. The Jays made a big come back from 4-1 to 6-4 to win the game 7-6. Everyone was very much into the game. Packed house for the Sunday. There were so many years that I haven’t been but really have to say I enjoyed it. What I really noticed is that the fan base is much bigger now compared to when I was a kid, there were so many more seats available. The view was still really good with accessible seating available where you could see the game better with the option to stand and watch as well. Shopping experience was quite good but there is no cash option. Plenty of food choices, restrooms were always available and accessible.
Bad:
No cash payments available. WheelTrans does take a bit longer so make sure you are booking with plenty of time for arrival and pick up.
Emergency CPR/First Aid Training
(Coast2Coast)
It was a challenging experience for me. I had some prior experience, but it was quite challenging. This has been one of my greatest achievements. It was really important to me because it gives me a sense that all my experiences helped me achieve this goal. I am really happy with myself and I feel proud.
The online portion was very complicated. I needed support with reading and writing. I felt I was able to break through barriers with the support I received. I hope that this can be an inspiration for others who are looking to do the same thing.
The in person portion was easier for me. I learn being hands on and I did not find it as challenging. I enjoyed learning all the skills they taught like back blows and CPR. I feel more confident in my skills now.
Center Island and Toronto Harbour Tours
Toronto Harbour Tours
It was a beautiful view. I got to be on a boat and learned more about the city. Learned some interesting facts and got to take some pictures. The experience was very relaxing and it gave an opportunity to rest the mind. It would be something I would like to do again.
Center Island
Large island with a walkable park. Good opportunity for exercise and good for people with families to hang out. To really enjoy the island you would need to plan to be there for the whole day. The trips on the ferries were not bad. They were efficient and the wait was not too long.
Ontario Science Centre
10/10
It was different from what I remembered. I wish I would’ve been able to remember what it looked like when I was there when I young. The centre was a big building. There was a shuttle bus that was provided that takes you from the main entrance to the back. From what I recall this was not required before. There is construction and plans to move the OSC. This may be due to them preparing for a move but the exhibits were still interesting. They had some special presentations available throughout the day. My favorite was the human anatomy exhibition, I got to see organs and body parts. Lots of things to see and learn. There was a large restaurant there for a quick bite but not too much selection. A very accessible building that gave access to people with kids and mobility issues. Be prepared to walk, there are many different floors in the building. I would consider getting an annual pass.
ROM
10/10
Not very accessible. The building was difficult to navigate through. Interesting art on display.
Very large area but really interesting.
Casa Loma
8/10
Very old building and getting around was difficult. You would need to signal to staff so they can help operate the elevator which was very old. The elevator was original to the time when the castle was still being used by the original owners. Learned a lot about the history. Lots of antiques on display.
AGO
10/10
Very busy over the holidays with lots of visitors. Good idea to buy tickets ahead of time to avoid the long line ups. Going early is also a good idea. Very accessible with elevators available throughout the entire building. Thre was different art from around the world and I saw a lot of people making sketches. Convenient food court across the street because the restaurant at the gallery was full and you need a reservation. Would definitely visit again.
Arcadia Earth
10/10
Would love to go again 4 or 5 times. Great VR experience. I'mlooking forward to a summer visit. It was very cold and the mall (The Well) is entirely outside. The mall was like a maze and hard to navigate but it was very nice. Food options were very limited but there are more stores around the area.
Worth a try for everyone.
Looks like a lot of fun happening around town. I've never heard of Arcadia Earth but I think I'd like to check it out...thanks Simon!
