Simon Rates Movies

Simon A. is back and this time he has reviewed some recent movies for us. Enjoy Simon's reviews and maybe he will inspire you to catch one of the movies.

MEG 2

10+/10

Jonas Taylor leads a research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest depths of the ocean. Their voyage spirals into chaos when a malevolent mining operation threatens their mission and forces them into a high-stakes battle for survival. Pitted against colossal, prehistoric sharks and relentless environmental plunderers, they must outrun, outsmart and outswim their merciless predators.

Good: A lot of action. Kept me on the edge of my seat. The story was quite good too with some plot twists. There were sharks, octopus, and dinosaurs in this movie. Thrilling movie.

Bad:  Not very real, used CGI.

The Nun 2

10/10

In 1956 France, a priest is violently murdered, and Sister Irene begins to investigate. She once again comes face-to-face with a powerful evil.

Good: Good story about good and evil. Had a lot of suspense and I liked how they were able to beat the evil spirits. Some unexpected things came out of the story

Bad: The graphics were not very realistic.

Saw X

6/10

Hoping for a miraculous cure, John Kramer travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer uses deranged and ingenious traps to turn the tables on the con artists.

Good: Good story telling from the start. The villain was a master of mind control. There was a good story for all the characters.

Bad: Very gory. Not a movie for everyone. Very violent and brutal.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

10/10

After failing to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta wields the power of the mythic Black Trident to unleash an ancient and malevolent force. Hoping to end his reign of terror, Aquaman forges an unlikely alliance with his brother, Orm, the former king of Atlantis. Setting aside their differences, they join forces to protect their kingdom and save the world from irreversible destruction.

This was an AVX Dbox experience.

Good: A lot of action. Lots different effects and the moving seats add to the movie experience and made it feel like I was a part of the movie. Working together, redemption from his brother, and the challenges they faced. Looking for the right resources to solve the issue they are in. Using brain and brawn.

Bad: Nothing to mention that was bad. Enjoyed the movie.

Not related to this movie but they should have more accessible Dbox seats. It was difficult getting to the seats up in the upper isles.
