The Decoration Committee

On October 16th, 2023, the Decoration Committee (a new afternoon program at CHIRS) had their first meeting. We got together in the CHIRS basement and got right to work creating fun decorations to spread around the club and basement. Since October's theme was Fall and Halloween, we worked on creating fun little jack-o-lanterns and designing leaves to go on our CHIRS tree!

We meet every Monday afternoon from 3:30pm to 4:30pm to create these masterpieces and to decorate; everyone is welcome to join us. Our main focus is to showcase the amazing artistic abilities of the CHIRS clients, ensuring that when anyone walks into head office, they can see the talent and creativity.

In November, we made thanksgiving themed decorations. In December we made decorations for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. We even decorated a whole Christmas tree!
